Comments:
Umno Paroi Jaya perlu ingat sejarah.

Let me be the first to tell you that Singapore is not a perfect society. But in Malaysia, we are citizens but still treated like second class citizens, right!

Let me be honest with you. I am better off in Singapore as a PR than as a Malaysian. In the 10 years I am in Singapore, nobody has told me to get lost and I have never felt like a second class citizen despite being a PR. In Malaysia, you know the story.

I feel so let down to know that Singapore treats us better than our own country. What a shame! Ask any other Malaysians living in Singapore and they will tell you the same.

If I am given a choice to serve in the army of Singapore or my own country Malaysia, I would have no problem choosing Singapore despite you claming it is unfair (and you maybe right too).

Why? Do you think the Malaysia government cares for me to putting my life on the line for the country? Let us be honest.

Like I said, Singapore is not perfect, but it is anytime better than living in Malaysia.

While Singapore government is sincere and doing all the right things, saying all the right things, in contrast, we can't say the same about Malaysia government, filled with hypocrites who only sing song, nice racial harmony song on certain occasions, the once in a year Merdeka speech, in general elections vote-fishing speeches, that is all.

And talks are cheaper than bull shit, or dinosaur shit for sure. Cause on many other occasions, during Umno assembly, meetings in kampung etc, we see the apes come out of their cages, instigating hatred, this is our land, waving keris, we are the tuan, we deserve this and that, we need to be strong so that other races won't get to take advantage of our weaknesses, blah blah blah……….no more Chinese schools, no more funding, blah blah blah. Same old shit from the same old clan of monkeys.

Open your eyes, go and live in Singapore for a few years, then you will feel differently perhaps.

On the surface, Singapore government is doing everything right to forge racial harmony, that is important, because perception is everything.

In Malaysia, we have all the opposite. That is the difference. Big difference. Big mama difference. Huge difference.

When I first lived in Singapore, I had the mentality of a "Malaysian".

Guess what? I now don't think like that. Every time, you hear a speech given by the Singapore prime minister, you know he is speaking from his heart and that matters.

I am a very skeptical person and it is very hard to buy me over unless you are speaking the truth. Do you know the government tells all their citizens in their national day rally speech to welcome us foreigners?

I personally admire the Singapore government, they actually walk the talk, really! I can see this with my own eyes! Nothing is more convincing than this. As for our Malaysia politicians, all they care is their bloody self (MCA, MIC, Umno) and their hoodlums.

The large publics of Chinese, Indians and Malays have to fend for ourselves. Why should I go back to Malaysia if I believe I have a better life in Singapore! I don't want my kids to grow up in an environment where they are told there is a distinction between malays and non-malays. Think about this!

This is my personal answer. The 10 years of being happy in Singapore is nowhere compared to the 30 years of rubbish I have got from Malaysia as a non-malay.

I will pass you my Malaysian passport next year (hope you are happy now).

Yup right, what an irony, I am willing to die for Singapore being a PR and not for Malaysia being a citizen. That shows much we feel we belonged in Malaysia.

In 1994, I tried to apply a scholarship in Malaysia but I couldn't get it due to the impartial system albeit I desperate for a scholarship as I was very poor. I tried to re-appeal but to no avail.

Fortunately, Singapore had offered me a scholarship and I was in fact forced to leave Malaysia no matter how reluctant I was.

Having stayed in Singapore for 10 years now. I salute the Singapore government for its efficiency. Whatever promises they make to the citizens, all will be materialised. This country practises meritocracy and if you capable and work hard, you will definitely be able to hold high post regardless of race.

I agree that Singapore is not a perfect country but it treats everyone in Singapore fairly whereby there is no discrimination at all.

On the contrary, Malaysia marginalises the non-malays which ultimately will have great impact on itself. I believe eventually Malaysia will lose (already lost) the competitive edge in which all the capable and smart non-malays will leave to other countries.

It is no doubt our Malaysia education system is getting down the drain as almost all the key posts are filled with all the cronies who are incapable and apple polisher. Besides, lots of our ministers act like an uncivilised person and speak with no substance.

We have already suffered a high level of brain drain - a lot of Malaysians have left for greener pastures in Australia, Singapore etc. Some of these are my friends and they are very happy where they are.

These are people whom others recognized as huge contributors not only to the company they are working with, but the country as well.

Imagine how great Malaysia would have been, if these people are working in Malaysia, and contributing to the growth here.

A lot of non-malays are feeling the pinch of staying in this Malaysia country, especially when our politicians are becoming more confident about being louder and vocal at being racist to win more votes.

But I have heard very few Singaporeans saying they would prefer Malaysia. I know - I was there for about 10 years.

We have the tallest, longest, largest, greatest, grandest, biggest, everything; and now some record breaking events, falling, collapsing, cracking, bursting, break-downing incidents in new buildings. It is only the beginning.

Now if you followed speech about a new agenda to help malays. So this is the way to create towering malays - just give them more handouts.

All talk was about helping, read enriching the malays. No one had the balls to talk about the Malaysia agenda. If this is what our future leaders spew, then I shed tears for my beloved country.

Much of so-called leakages of malays allocation has not gone to other malays but merely lost. Look at the bank write-offs, the debt of Perwaja, the loss of Proton, the ringgit depreciation etc, and you get an idea where they have gone. The non-malays benefit is marginal compared to the larger loses.

Just look at how many of the chief ministers and Menteri Besar reap profit from their position for personal gain, compared to few did not do it. They must be using the same pretext of some noble cause like the NEP. But at the end the one benefiting is their closet cronies.

What left to Malaysians is the exorbitant car prices, high toll rates, no viable alternative public transport in cities, ever increasing water tariff, etc. Who is suffering at the end? Isn't it the "rakyat" at large and malays forming the largest portion?

Have they not considered why previous implementations failed? In fact one needs not look far to find the answers - ABUSE of POWER and CORRUPTION leading to cronyism and nepotism.

A simple solution is to implement an answerable to parliament, freedom of the press and independent judiciary as a starter.

Instead, Umno is asking for more privileges. Who are the main beneficiaries? So long as Malaysia's resources are plentiful, the non-malays as scapegoats, the use of religious fear factor works on the people, Umno will continue to call the shot.

Unfortunately there are not enough resources to satisfy the greed of Umno, the people will remain poorer while the rich get richer.

For non-malays, their ultimate aim is going abroad. Those left behind, well, the left over will join the poor including the malays in Malaysia. Thus denying Malaysia the skill and wealth of the emigrating Malaysians.

Don't forget the call for more help, enriching the malays are actually for Umno, selected cronies and few! Not all the malays!

Do read them carefully and not counting it as every malay or Malaysian! Because of this nature of speech don't count it as "for all malays" and a case for you to bombast the innocent malays!

With all the hundreds of millions and multibillions ringgit of contracts going to the crony companies and Umno malays, with all the Approved Permits (APs) going to the malays (almost), with all the banking licences going to the malays (almost), with all the big government-linked companies (GLCs) coming under the control of the malays, with all the government jobs (almost) going to the malays, with all the petrol stations, transports licenses going to the malays, etc.

Perhaps one reason that Umno Youth perceived that the malays are not faring too well in the economic field is that the wealth that is now in their hands is not well shared out, and is concentrated in the hands of a small number of elite and crony malays.

If you look at the number of government contracts going out to malays is really discriminating against the non-malays.

Until now, I have not heard of one malay who has the courage to admit that about 90% of the government assistances and projects, that went to help the malays has gone to waste - huge squandering and wastage.

It is the reason why they are not being respected by other races.

That is their huge weakness. No matter how much monetary assistance you give to the malays, somehow or rather it doesn't improve their attitude and character towards work. It doesn't improve their knowledge on any business they are in.

Their business ethic is the lowest among Malaysians. Their wealth will never improve. Later down the road, they will be spending most of their money if not all, on material gain rather than on building knowledge, skill and value.

That is why, or 90% of the government projects, 90% of the student scholarships goes to them, has gone to waste. They didn't take the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skill but merely for material gain.

They have no confidence in themselves after so many years of independence. No faith and no confidence in themselves to do their best and compete in the world. None at all!

Because most of the time, they spend their money and time on material gain and politics. I would say malays place more importance on the form rather than on the substance.

Look at the amount of protocol they have to follow in their daily life. Most of it is not practical at all.

In short, we are stuck in medieval concept of balance for conflicting interest rather than those about moving forward to be become one.

So long as we are stuck in such medieval thinking, so long as we will be paralyzed by our fear and insecurities - and honestly substandard as a nation.

If you turn on BBC, there are fair and equal coverage on the UK opposition parties.

So is NHK (Japan), so is KBS (Korea), so is CNN (America), so is CBC (Canada), so is ABC (Australia).

Even in our neighboring Thailand, their TV coverage is fair for both ruling and opposition parties!

Only in this Umno hijacked country that you find most lop-sided idiotic coverage on Umno and its running dog partners!

It should be an interesting study on how Singapore has capitalised on the failure of the NEP, and the Malaysia system where we removed all the sultans powers and replaced them with politicians, who now rule our lives through devious means.

Each year, Singapore attracts hundreds of our brightest and best.

Even my malay friends advise me not to go back Malaysia after completing my PhD here. It is a well-known fact that no matter how hard they strive, they will never be able to go to the top.

This comes from the horse mouth of a group of foreign experts and researchers in my university. Just feel a bit embarrass when they told me this. But have to admit. After all, it is the truth, nothing but the truth.

Meritocracy in Malaysia? We must be in the land of fantasy! With the present socio-political status quo, Vision 2020 is nothing but a mere mirage.

Why is that so? Because it is creating a mediocre-minded culture that drives away excellent-minded non-malays and malays.

Can you work in an environment where merit is not rewarded?

As long as the shameless, blatant policy of rewarding only the mediocre, and denying opportunities to the best, based merely on one race and religion, the obviously myopic leaders of this country are ensuring that this country will go down to the dogs in the not too distant future.

The standard of English language in Malaysia going down to the dogs is one fine example of our leaders myopic policies.

A lot of things change for those who leave. Once you are in Singapore, much pressure is "applied" to keep you there.

The programs in Singapore are structured in such a way to make sure that the "immigrants" would stay after completing their studies. Many take up Singaporean citizenship after many years of contemplation and agony.

This normally happens after one finds his/her spouse. Practical considerations come in; idealism flies away.

These "Malaysians" never forget their Malaysians past. But as the days, weeks, months, years go by, they slowly lose their Malaysians and become one of those floating masses in the global village. (I have met Malaysians of this kind in all sorts of odd places in different parts of the world.)

Make no mistake - however - most of them are very successful.

The malays do not live in this country alone. Malaysia is made up of all the races. Everybody looks the same when they send out the tax forms. In fact, our economy will be doomed if one of the component of our multi-racial society suddenly vanished.

Our overseas brains refuse to come back. Capable brains here not valued and they want to leave. The rotting education system stops producing capable brains. Overseas countries are "fishing" for smart brains worldwide. Added together..........you get the brain drain effect.

Unless there is a structural change in our mindset to set things right, we will continue talking about the same thing for the next 100 years.

To me, Ketuanan Melayu is the false notion of malay greatness or malay supremacy. Truth is - there is nothing to associate the malay race with greatness.

By any widely accepted standards, it will be obvious to see that the malay race does not qualify to be called one of the great races on this world. Truth is that the Chinese and Indians have a culture accomplished far greater and much more than these jokers have.

It should be Chinese and Indian supremacy in Malaysia. The only reason why malays have power in Malaysia is because they have the biggest population, and the racist rhetoric of the malay Umno politicians always sway the malay vote towards themselves.

Anyway, back to the untrue notion of Ketuanan Melayu. Let us see what malays have accomplished. Has any malay won the Nobel Prize - no. Has any malay been nominated for the Nobel Prize - most probably not.

By contrast, numerous Chinese and Indians have won the Nobel Prize and various other awards. The Chinese and Indian diaspora is widely recognized as two of the three most successful diasporas in history, the other being the Jewish diaspora. All over the world, Chinese and Indians have become successful artists, CEOs, doctors, filmmakers, scientists, writers, etc, etc.

Name one malay who is widely recognized around the world in his or her field. The only malay whose name might be recognized out of this country is Mahathir, and he is part Indian. Is malay culture recognized as a world renowned culture - no.

Malay culture, if cultures were ranked, would be close to the bottom. What is their culture compared to the great Chinese and Indian cultures that are centuries old and really rich! The Chinese and Indians have a 5000 years old history during which China and India have played a very important part in world history.

Nobody knew about malays until the Indian kings of south India first came here. That is why the oldest archeological remains in Malaysia, in Lembah Bujang, are Hindu temples.

The malay sultanate itself was started by a Hindu - Parameswara. And even at the height of its power, the Malacca sultanate was nothing more than a vassal of the Chinese emperor.

Have any malay architect designed anything worthwhile - no. Have any malay author won the Booker Prize or the Pulitzer Prize - no. Have any malay filmmaker won an Oscar - no. Have the malays achieved anything in sports - no.

Chinese and Indians have achieved all this. So there is no real Ketuanan Melayu. It is a fiction concocted by racist stupid politicians to keep the "kampung malays" happy thinking that they have had a glorious past.

They don't. Their history isn't worth mentioning. You would never find a mention of malays or Malaysia or Tanah Melayu in most books of world history while entire chapters are devoted to the history of China and India.

The discriminative constitution and law of Malaysia is just a recognition of this fact. The malay leaders and to every single malay knows that on a level playing field, the malays will never be able to compete with the Chinese and Indians.

This is just another example of how sick our present government under BN is.

It makes us all wonder how low can they go before the whole country collapses……….

We don't give a damn! We must make sure that 70% of the graduates are malays! If they can't get employed, create more job opportunities in civil works! Still can't revolve it, force the private companies to employ at least 30% malays in their companies!

Still can't solve it? Increased to 60%, to reflect the current population percentage! This is our land, we can do whatever we want. You don't like it, get lost! Semuanya ok!

If your kind (malays) have a little sense of dignity, should commit suicide long ago!

Furthermore, the suppression of information and subscribing to spoon-fed knowledge and spoon-fed news etc - we will be heading towards a cow ranch society. No need to exercise thinking power, the government do not need you to think and they prohibit you to think.

Talking about a centre of education excellence. Talking about achieving developed country status. You don't need to look far to see how far are we from achieving it.

I wonder whether our minister of education has any feeling of embarrassment or shame when he meets his counterparts of other countries.

It is not that Malaysia universities could not be in the top. We have been there in the past. The policy maker doesn't want it. They are willing to sacrifice Malaysia competitiveness for a particular group.

It has been 50 years. Malaysia has suffered for 50 years due to certain policies. With the natural resources we have, we could have achieved more than what our neighbour Singapore achieved.

It is so sad. Malaysia is a country with vast potential but under achieve. As time travel, this potential is gradually dwindling. When will they wake up?

60000 unemployed graduates summed up the quality of the universities: low quality staffs, low quality students. Smarter undergraduates are all local-overseas universities graduates or overseas graduates.

Since the 1980s, Singapore has been stealing all the good ones and that is why Singapore is well ahead than Malaysia in human resources. And they are now even stealing from Europe, Japan and US.

What is the result of our investment in Biovalley or Cyberjaya? Bolehland is good only for ideas but can't walk the talk. Vision 2020 is only a dream.

Politicians and rich peoples here rarely send their children to local universities. They know why.

Universities are seen as an opportunity for Umno to consolidate its political power base. As long as malays are given degrees even if they do not qualify for them, Umno rightly feels this will buy them loyalty. It is in fact Umno interest that malays remain insular insecure, narrow minded and uneducated. This makes it easier for them to control the noose.

Paradoxically, when you have uneducated malays, political Islam too flourishes. PAS and Umno are reverse sides of the same coin. They both flourish when there is ignorance, insecurity, racism and religious bigotry.

Malaysia public universities are not about education in its widest sense. They are political to a lesser extent PAS and breeding grounds for Umno.

Non-malays who want quality education so that they can be trained to be intellectual and to the best of their ability have to seek alternative sources. This often means going overseas. Sadly, most talented Malaysians do not return which is a terrible waste. But does Umno care? Like hell they do!

PAS and Umno are self serving. Malays must be kept in a pen like sheep and ensure they are dependent on you. One way is to give malays 'pangkat' in the form of university degrees but make sure they are worthless in quality so that only Umno will recognise your degrees and not the world.

The damage has been done. As long as the culprit still has the power to rule the Malaysia country, there are no second thoughts of returning back here. For vacations maybe, but even that will be full with hesitations.

To be honest, if dissatisfied people in this country have sufficient financial terms and non heavy commitments, I can bet every single one of them would have left this cursed land long time ago.

I just wonder if all the non-malays are financially independent and just stayed at home enjoying life. The country under the 'supreme' ruling of the malays and the outdated worthless NEP system, will crush itself like a 500 pound bitch humping on a dying 100 years old guy.

Soon, the globe will be spread with Chinese!
They will be the ones who contribute to the progress of the host country.

They will be accepted,
rewarded
and
thanked
by their host country.

WHILE

the malay politicians will still be using:

Race
Religion
Special rights

to tie their own countrymen down just to continue voting for them.

Some malay intellectuals will probably follow the footsteps of the Chinese.

The recalcitrants will be left behind to continue being (had) by the malay politicians.

In Malaysia, the Chinese are suppress. Yes, I think so too. Is not so much a matter, whether the rich Chinese entrepreneur made it, but is about our rights as a Malaysian citizen!

As a Malaysian citizen, don't you think that we have the rights to affordable education like anyone else in the world? As a Malaysian citizen, don't you think that we have the rights to assemble, protect our religion and voice our expression?

I can almost guarantee you that the Umno malays treat the Europeans and Japanese better that their own Malaysian Chinese.

Don't the Umno government realize that there are many more Chinese entrepreneurs who didn't made it! There are many who still live below poverty line with no education.

If you attend some of the Umno division meetings or Umno Youth meetings, the amount of Chinese bashing in the meeting is unbelievable.

But if the non-malays were to hold a meeting talking about non-malays rights such as citizen rights or religious rights, immediately Umno brand the non-malays as causing racial and religious tension.

If the malays can't treat their own citizens fairly, how much respect do you think they will earn from the international community!

Obviously some leaders like Mahathir, don't give a shit what international community think of Malaysians, until he needs money or trade, then he will start to bribe.

Robert Kuok, so called richest Malaysian has set up his head office in Hong Kong more than 20 years ago because he knew that he will never be able to expand his business had he continued in Malaysia.

Krishnan, spend most of his time in London. The richest Malaysians now are the AP kings and they are still growing. The malays already control 45% of the KLSE and had it counters like Carsberg, Genting, Guiness, Magnum, Toto, their market share is probably 55%.

Can we publish the names and identify all the nominees and settle the issue once and for all! The people who are suffering are all the poor irrelevant of race.

The malays have been so selfish. Chinese, Indians……….leave Malaysia if you don't like it here that is what malays always say. Malays have to see the fact that they are also pendatang from Indonesia. Even Pakistanis with PR enjoy privileges like malays.

The Orang Asli have been always marginalised. Their option is convert to Islam to live like others. The malays have set in their mind Malaysia and everything belong to them.

Even Indonesia doesn't have such racist category. Nowhere else in the world have bumi/non-bumi double standards citizenship. So what Lee Kuan Yew say is right.

You somebody miss the point here. You always look at the successful Chinese entrepreneur but you didn't look at those non-successful one.

As for the malays, you don't have to fight it out with other competitors. All you need is to join Umno and you will get government project. That in fact is the biggest corruption. The malays are usually the biggest corruptors in most government business.

Let us just say, all Chinese become Muslims. There will still be difference between Chinese and malays. I can still guarantee you that the Chinese will still be more successful, because we don't sit under the coconut tree and hoping for coconut to fall. (As how the late Tunku Abdul Rahman describes the malays.)

Let me tell you, the Japanese, Koreans are also corrupt. But they are still more successful. Corruption is not the major hindrance of the progress for the race. It is the race's self determination and initiative that decide the race progress.

NEP is the biggest legalise corruption practice ever establish in world history. Umno, in the name of malays protector, uses NEP to enrich their families and their friends.

If you are not one of them, malay dude, I pity you. But if you are a smart malay, you should be like Japanese.

Malays have dominated the police, army, government ministry, government projects and KLSE big capital companies. What else do you want? Bungalow house, Mercedes Bens and maybe a printing money machine.

To all Chinese in this joint, just be truthful to yourselves. If you don't like what's happening in Malaysia pack your bags, denounce your citizenship and go somewhere else, perharps to Singapore a place which you worship so much.

The question remains, why are you still here? Why are you still eating food that which most of them are subsidized by the UMNO led government. Why are still filling your cars with petrol which are subsidized by the UMNO led government.

You can afford to sleep well at night because of you all know the police (majority of which are Malays) will watch for your safety. You can afford to dream well at nights because you know our soldiers (majority of which are Malays)are guarding the nation's frontiers around the clock. If you don't appreciate this, why are you still here?

To be frank, we also dont need Chinese like you here. We can tolerate Chinese who are grateful to live here but certainly not your kind.

Why is it the fact that Ezam rejoins UMNO becomes a national news? Is it a national news material?

If his intention to rejoin UMNO is due to a bona fide belief of UMNO struggle why is he still talking about "reformasi".Obviously his "reformasi" struggle is still evidently strong and is this a good thing for UMNO?

Why should Pak Lah receive him as a " Hero" without first consulting the Supreme Council. Muhydin made a clear statement that the Supreme Council should be first consulted before action as such be taken. What is the story here? Does Pak LAh think as the UMNO President he is above the Supreme Council.Do a re check on UMNO Constitution!Supreme Council is the highest authority, not the President.

This event has produced a pattern. Pak Lah disrespects and undermines the authority of the Supreme Council. Pak Lah is acting in defiant of the UMNO Constitution.

And....this chap WAN SHAHARUDDIN the former Penghulu of Ampangan. Does he know what is he supporting? A defiant UMNO President?Oh come on! This is not the time to give blind support. This the time for UMNO members to be faithful to UMNO objectives not to the Presidential obectives.

Perancangan dan persediaan lebih utama dari hanya mengingat sejarah kerana ia akan menjurus kepada prasangka, teruskan perjuangan jangankan ezam sapo pun masuk langgar totap langgar

maybe from one single view yes u can claimed singapore fair enough good enough no racism, pls do some revision rather than simply rite an essay, jus like the proclaimed uk fair enough pls chk first with the social activist, review some bbc news probably u will know something in a bigger cup.ask the malays in singapore how does it feel, ayoyo plz la don simply rite a statement like nbody buss, we too got fren and relative there so we also got the grassrootbeer opinion.Umno just protecting the malays rite which had been endorsed under the malaysian constitution just like the rest of the world, chk a bit info not the poem in uk, us, japan, aus, brunei hopefully u can find somethin.
